MONICA REESE, PsyD, LSW, CCM
Dr. Monica Reese is the BTC Center contracted Executive Director, on a part-time basis. Her professional background includes work in a community based mental health practice, nineteen
years of managed healthcare leadership, educational programming, organizational psychology, and acute healthcare care management. In addition, Monica’s professional experience includes
previous work as adjunct faculty at Carlow University, and past role as a field instructor for the University of Pittsburgh, School of Social Work.
Monica is an alumna of the University of Pittsburgh and Carlow University in Pittsburgh, PA. She has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work and a doctorate degree in psychology.
Her doctoral thesis focus was on understanding practitioner multicultural competence and ethnocultural sensitivity in work with diverse individuals.
Monica is professionally licensed in Pennsylvania in the field of social work. Monica is also board certified in the field of case management. She is a professional member of the American
Psychological Association and a past club member and officer of Toastmaster’s International.
Monica is a native of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. She is the immediate Past President of the Pittsburgh Club of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women Clubs,
Incorporated. Monica is an advisory board member of the Southwestern, PA Area Health Education Center. She is committed to community service and desires to lead the BTC Center in
developing expanded programming and services to empower and further build communities.
